For all of us who work hard, harder than we ever thought we’d have to and realize we have to face facts or delegate counts:
“Some luck lies in not getting what you thought you wanted but getting what you have, which once you have got it you may be smart enough to see it as what you would have wanted had you known.”

  1. I had to read that quote like fourteen times. I got the gist quickly enough, but the words just rumbled around and made me dizzy. Maybe I could try and memorize it . . . nah!

    Brian

  2. Exactly my response, tysdaddy, when I first read it. Hell, it still is my response. In fact, I’m going to take an Excedrin.

  3. Living in the now for the now, smiling, breathing, laughing, eating ice-cream and getting chocolate icing on your nose, living as you are right now :)

Beautiful – perhaps it only makes sense to me because its after 1am but alas I shall test it out in the morning. Thanks you, needed this.

  4. Excellent, Pat.

    It’s a great shot too.

I’m putting you on my blogroll. I love your stuff.

    :)

  5. Sanity, Hope it makes sense in the morning as well!

Pomeroy! Honored to be on your blogroll! Wish this photo template had blogrolls, but it does not. No way to put them in. Am allowed only one “about” page and no others. Perhaps they’ll change that in the future. In the meantime, people. Pomeroy, http://pomdog.wordpress.com, makes me laugh out loud on a regular basis! Pat

  6. You have a wonderful blog here! I will most certainly return. I’ve been pawing through your archives and you seem to have quite an agreeable style.

GK is not always clearspoken, but he’s frequently right on the money. We’ll see what happens next to Hillary.

  7. Welcome, twobuyfour! Heard GK give keynote speech recently at a writer’s conference and he was wonderful. I don’t think his wisdom is enough for Hillary, however. The Jaws of Life may be necessary for her to be extricated from the race. But, that’s for other bloggers. Anyway, thanks for visiting and taking the time to comment!
