The heart of winter.  We are in it.  The only things we are missing are single digit temperatures and below freezing wind chills.  They are coming Thursday.  Thank you High Pressure something or other.

Ode to Frigid later in the week.

  1. I like this very much. Of course it looks like my back yard, sans pond.

  2. a beautiful sparse winterscape, it has so much the feeling of january in it, it is full of life in its desolate windswept foreground reaching to the horizon, suggesting there is more yet more to come, and somewhere beyond is the hope of spring…

  3. Nice shot and I think it would be better in just black and white

  4. So bleak and bracing to look at. You’ve had a winter and a half so far and it’s just January.
But you, little Energizer Muffin, stop at nothing, use no excuses, and keep shooting, and working and experimenting.
I like the feeling of desolation with that little hint of life in the sepia like wispy branches in the front.

  5. Happy New Year, S. Le! You, too, with this endless winter? The heating system seems to be “on” all the time just to keep the temp at 60!

Tipota, Honestly, I shoot something and you can explain it. Is it a deal?

Razz: I’ll try it as soon as my computer is fixed…wheezing…because of course it’s going to be fixed right? Having not heard one word since I left it off which we all know is not a good sign.

Bonnie, energizer muffin top may stop if temps go down to single digits. Muffin tops can only take so much. I think I feel the same way about the touch of sepia but I’m going to try the black and white when well I’ll just say when.
