If I were a queen I’d have a lupine garden surrounding me at all times and command that they bloom throughout the year regardless of the season.

Absolute power has to be good for something.

  1. You must be a queen then, by capturing such a lovely image in such a beautiful way, you have commanded it to live on through however many seasons you want it to! Awesome!

    • Renee, where’s my crown? I ask this question everyday. People’s eyes glaze over. They must not recognize royalty. Sigh.

  2. Every time I see the name of these flowers I can’t help but think to myself, “they don’t look like no wolves to me!”

    • Razz, isn’t this same name a breed of dogs, too? Get wolves off your mind for God’s sake..think a twirling Spanish dancer!

  3. an absolutely gorgeous poetograph, looks as if its a twirling spanish dancer captured in a perfect poise

    • Tipota, now how in hell do you do this? Every day, I might add. To see a Spanish dancer in this flower….and then I see it, too!! Love that gift you have of seeing.

  4. lupine
adj : of or relating to or characteristic of wolves
n : any plant of the genus Lupin; bearing erect spikes of
    usually purplish-blue flowers [syn: lupin]
