What can I say?
I was waiting to cross the street when I saw this man “sailing” down the street.
Gusts of wind had been picking up since I had left a family birthday party at a restaurant across town.
I’d been offered a ride home from my cousin who lives in my same town.
But, I declined, saying, “I like wandering around and taking photos on my way to the train station.”
I’m emailing her this picture tomorrow. I would have gotten home earlier for sure had I hitched a ride with her.
But, who knows where I would have ended up had I hitched a ride with Sail Man as he blew by me, smiling all the way.

I’ve started to realize that wrong turns while driving are just opportunites to see something different.
Exactly, PR, and when you are on foot you have time to focus!
dontcha just love it? you are such the artist of the great captured moment. now i am trying to decide exactly where the event took place, it looks so familiar but it could be some part of boylston, or maybe summer,
somewhere near the post office or the library, it is so on the tip of my eyeball, but i cant place it. never mind, its gorgeous anyway.
Tipota, it was the corner of Boylston and Berkeley Streets. A block down from the Public Gardens. I was so happy to have time to focus since autofocus always craps out on me!
A genius way to travel.
I agree, avenatura. Sheer genius and guts…as despite this angle, there’s a great deal of traffic in Boston!
