Spud and I are on vacation in a place where the unusual is the usual. And, yet, when posing for this photograph, spud drew a crowd.

I tried to tell the story.

Yeah, I won’t try that again. Better to see it for yourself.

  1. Geeez Pat!!!!!! LOL You are just too much

  2. I so see a book don’t you! Hope you have a fab quick “break” with sexy spud – be good!

  3. What SPF do you put on a spud? Do you have enough pairs of sunglasses to cover all the eyes?

    -Turkish Prawn

  4. If I could only stop laughing and keeping away from your blog, I might once in a while post some things myself!

Are you traveling with bags of uncooked spuds and is that why your hosts served you mashed potatoes?

I have this image of you, trying to relax and enjoy your time on the most beautiful point of the US, and yet, somehow, unable to, because the gears and wheels are spinning and the eyes ( yours, not the potatoes’ ), are darting, seeking the next perfect locale and prop for your next entry.
You know we wouldn’t expect less from you.

  5. I have to say, I love your spud. Perhaps you could turn him into a tee shirt/ mug/ greetings cards so Spud Fans can show their love?

Hope you’re having a restful break.

  6. If I may, I’d like to suggest Botox injections for the Spudster in a near future. It’s looking quite prematurely aged lately and frankly, the sun is not going to help much with its skin quality. Pat, it needs a little hat made of straw (or SFP 50)
I admit that its tummy tuck however seems to have worked wonders on concealing his innards. Bravo!

  7. looks like george Hamilton

  8. I just spent 10 minutes with very witty comments to all of you lovelies! And, then, it all got wiped out somehow so now, I’m gonna have to give a dreaded one response fits all:

Spud and I are back home thinking about T-shirts and mugs and blogging challenges that will win these as prizes but then I would have to judge and that’s not good. All those eyes? Hilarious. Didn’t think of that. And, that straw hat suggestion? Excellent. And once again, BL reads the psyche..my head is a 360 degree rotating radar, sweeping for images and ideas.
And, George Hamilton does look like Spud but he’s alive! At least, spud is properly dead not just pretending.
And, sexy spud?? I’ll have to rely on trace memory, sanity. Nah, I’ll leave all of that to the francophiles.
